O governador da Bahia, Jerônimo Rodrigues (PT), made a visit to the ongoing construction of the Convention Center in Feira de Santana, which began in September last year, during his visit to the municipality on Thursday afternoon (8). During the visit, the governor stated that the project is 60% completed and confirmed the estimated completion date for November of this year.

During his visit, Jerônimo mentioned the job creation with the construction of the Convention Center and stated that he is in talks with the Secretary of Culture, Bruno Monteiro, to attract events to Feira de Santana.
“160 workers are employed, all with formal contracts, to finalize the construction by November this year. I have already asked Secretary Bruno to start the cultural programming, aiming to integrate the local community, including rural districts, and strengthen Feira de Santana’s economy through tourism and the hosting of large events,” said the governor.
The investment for the construction of the Convention Center amounts to R$56.3 million. The venue will feature 2,350 m² of covered area for events, with a capacity of 1,600 people, while the theater will have 4,213 m² of built area, including an audience with 639 seats and multipurpose rooms.
