Eunápolis: The police intervention occurred on Tuesday morning, August 13th, on Irmã Dulce Street, in the Itapoan neighborhood, in the city of Eunápolis, Bahia. According to reports, military police officers from RONDESP/Extremo Sul received information about several men displaying firearms, selling drugs, and threatening the population in the area.
Upon arriving at the reported location, they conducted searches in the wooded area and, as they approached the quarry, they spotted a group of armed men. Upon realizing the police presence, they fired several gunshots at the officers. Immediately, there was a reaction from the police, and the individuals fled into the quarry. After the gunfire ceased, a man was found lying on the ground, next to him a CZ pistol, Browning model with serial number 93725, Cal. 9mm, containing 02 (two) intact .380 caliber ammunition, along with a certain amount of drugs.
The police immediately provided assistance to the wounded individual, a 16-year-old teenager, who was still alive, to the Eunápolis Regional Hospital. Unfortunately, the young man, identified as the suspect, succumbed to his injuries at the hospital. All seized materials – 28 cocaine vials, hashish bundles, 01 piece of marijuana, 06 marijuana pieces, 01 portion of cocaine, 01 CZ pistol, Browning, 9mm; 01 9mm charger; 02 .380 caliber unspent bullets, and 01 Diamond (digital) scale – were presented at the Eunápolis Civil Police Station to the on-duty delegate.
All seized materials were forwarded to the Department of Technical Police (DPT) for forensic examinations.
