The Bahia Football Federation (FBF) has decided to cancel the match between Colo-Colo and Jacobina, valid for the last round of the qualifying phase of the 2025 Baiano Championship Series A. The decision came after both clubs officially requested the Federation not to hold the match. The game was scheduled for next Saturday (22), at 6:30 pm, at the Alberto Oliveira Stadium (Joia da Princesa) in Feira de Santana.
According to the resolution published by the entity, both teams are already mathematically relegated and have no chances of qualifying for the next phase of the tournament. Therefore, “having the last match between both has no practical consequences, leading only to expenses.”
The other matches of the final round of the championship remain scheduled for the same time and will be held at the previously defined stadiums. The full schedule is available on the FBF’s official website.
The decision was signed by the FBF president, Ricardo Lima, the vice president and legal director, Manfredo Lessa Pinto, and the competitions director, Taíse Galvão. The Federation also ordered the resolution to be published on its website and formally communicated to the clubs involved.
